Medical Scribe

AI-Supported Speech-to-text scribe software to assist medical professionals in taking reliable case
histories, saving them hours of work a week that they can spend delivering better quality of care.

BUSINESS IDEA OVERVIEW

Most healthcare professionals agree that the medical charting process is extremely time-consuming. On average, the process can take an extra 1-3 hours a day to complete (beyond
regular shift times).
This is not only because of the attention the healthcare provider needs to place in taking the patient's complaints but also the subsequent organization into the standardized medical format.
The general idea is to create an application that can be accessed via user log-in that helps healthcare providers take accurate reporting via a speech-to-text interface supported by an AI/LLM. Proof of concept for such a solution already exists and several companies doing this already exist albeit mostly in the USA.

we are looking for:

cto CO-FOUNDER - software engineer

Based on research interviews, the ideal software engineer should possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Software Development Expertise: The engineer should be proficient in developing a web interface and integrating existing off-the-shelf AI models.
  • Adaptability: The ability to work with pre-canned models for the prototype stage and adapt to training a custom model later on, if necessary.
  • Understanding of Medical Terminology: While not essential, some familiarity with medical terms, anatomy, and jargon would be beneficial.
  • Focus on Efficiency: The engineer should be able to develop a working prototype within a short timeframe and budget.
  • Attention to Detail: The ability to incorporate features that are important to end-users, such as offline capabilities and data privacy.
  • Communication Skills: The engineer should be able to effectively communicate with the project manager and medical professionals to ensure the software meets their needs.

EXPERTISE

A minimum of two years of knowledge/experience in the field of computer science and AI/LLM skills. Two years may include studies if evidence can be shown of projects (personal or

academic).

Main activities:

  • Creating the prototype: a simple working model with a simple user interface that can at the very least.
  • Provide accurate speech-to-text summaries.
  • Be able to attend short daily meetings to show progress.
  • Be open to communication and regular feedback (taking and giving).
  • Come with or open to learning clean-code and proper documenting standards.

I have a BA in Psychology and Philosophy fr om the University of Binghamton in New York wh ere my studies focused on the neurobiology of resilience. I also hold an MBA from the SEPT Program at the University of Leipzig. My thesis focused on marketing decision-making in startup leadership across industries.

I believe in the power of applying behavioral economics to increase awareness and make better decisions under uncertainty. I am very motivated to take on projects that leverage technology to free up more time for us to think more slowly and carefully about important decisions in life. The medical field is especially overworked and I am very motivated to help healthcare professionals streamline their work so they can focus more on what matters to them the most: providing excellent healthcare.

I spend a lot of time reading, writing, and working on my podcast. I enjoy walking, hiking, substantial conversations, and making good food.
