Elegant Edge is a digital platform that will change the beauty industry in Nigeria by making it easier for beauty freelancers to run and grow their businesses. Freelancers can use our platform to show off their portfolios, make and handle bookings, and get paid safely through an escrow system. This builds trust between clients and professionals.
It also has community-driven interaction features like status updates and reels, which are similar to social networks and help to build visibility and a network. Elegant Edge connects clients with skilled service providers, making a safe, efficient, and scalable market for the beauty industry. Its goal is to make things easier for both clients and freelancers.

we are looking for:

Mobile Developer (Cross-Platform)

We are looking for a talented and versatile Mobile Developer proficient in cross-platform mobile development frameworks. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building the front-end of our mobile application and connecting it to a native backend, which will need to be developed from scratch. 

This role requires a combination of strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and a collaborative mindset to create a seamless, scalable, and engaging user experience.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Expertise: At least 3–5 years of experience in mobile app development, backend API design, and deployment, with a track record of delivering high-quality products.

Location: Remote (German-based preferred)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop, test, and deploy a cross-platform mobile application using frameworks such as Flutter or React Native.
    Collaborate with the backend development team to design and implement robust APIs tailored to the app's functionality.
  2. Work closely with UI/UX designers to integrate visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces from existing Figma prototypes.
  3. Build and optimize mobile features, including booking workflows, payment integrations, and profile management.
    Implement secure authentication methods and data storage solutions to ensure user data protection.
  4. Debug and resolve technical issues, improving application performance and stability.
  5. Maintain a scalable codebase that accommodates future updates and expansions.
  6. Participate in sprint planning and contribute to technical discussions on project roadmaps and architecture. 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficiency in cross-platform development frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of mobile app architecture and connecting mobile applications to native backend systems.
  • Experience working with backend services (RESTful APIs, GraphQL) and databases (e.g., Firebase, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with payment gateway integration (e.g., Paystack, Flutterwave) and secure authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth).
  • Knowledge of backend programming languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, or Java) is a plus.
